Following a morning of governing body work, I am out on a dog walk ahead of meeting with a prestigious client.
Will be running workshops for the fifth and final part of their organisation’s bespoke improvement tool.
Excited to get it completed and launched!

The perfect way to prepare for the busy week ahead.
It was a slower start to the day!
But dog walk done and now heading to a meeting re IT and marketing.

Occasionally, I am asked why I haven’t fully retired.
It’s feedback such as this that keeps me going….
Standards are important, as is clarity with regard to what good standards look like.
Doesn’t have to conflict with the focus on the journey of each learner.

Hi. I am Mike. In the autumn of my career now, having had a total of 18 yrs as a Head (3 schools) before working at a regional and national level in education in Wales.
These days I support schools, mainly in leadership and post inspection action.
This was being used in a school I was supporting.
A child thought it was me!
I hope it was the happy, excited face he recognised!!!

Also have an important meeting with a client regarding the development of their bespoke improvement tool.
Needs to be a long walk!
