I am reading up several things and came across conflicting messages. This raises a question for me. "Are we the Deaf community a disability community or are we Deaf community as an ASL community". Can we agree "Deaf Community is everyone whose main language is ASL"?

I call it AGB school. Anyhow, need definition of heritage language. In this AGB we, all behind the teachers back, gestured quite a bit. I use these gestures in my CDI work. Does Heritage language include this or does it must include home?

I am not an expert but I lived in this experience where I was really connected with my classmates BUT no Signs. We were in an Oral day school although it was not labeled as such.
