I just headed up to bed, desperate to hit the sack, only to find I'd stripped the sheets earlier and not remade it.

It's a reporting restriction. Once someone has been arrested and likely to be charged with an offence, UK reporting restrictions mean journalists can't imply guilt, otherwise it undermines court proceedings. That's why they use 'allegedly' it covers them against potential contempt of court.

If we're to be better at sustainable development we must recognise this is not just about climate action, but biodiversity protection too. If other countries have more assignment choices than simply male and female, does that make those countries and cultures wrong? India, Germany, Iceland, Kenya... Hm. That would be very neo-colonial thinking. To understand more about the background to the factors that determine biological sex, please check out Scientific American 's publications on this from 2017 and 2018. Women, minorities fired in purge of NIH science review boards Scientists, with expertise in fields that include mental health, cancer and infectious disease, typically serve five-year terms and were not given a reason for their dismissal.

Thirty-eight of 43 experts cut last month from the boards that review the science and research that happens in laboratories at the National Institutes of Health are female, Black or Hispanic, according to an analysis by the chairs of a dozen of the boards.
