My first ever competition entry. Gamesday 1987, Honourable mention in the Vignette Category. The figures/scenics are chipped and the resin looks so bad with age.

1/ I used the 2 Thin Coates paint range.
both base coated with Skeleton Legion. Then used washes Archaic Sepia, Battle mud and Oblivion Black. Varied the wash amount to get the variety between the wolves. Highlighted the light fur with Trooper white and the black fur with Wolf Grey.

Oh without a doubt. I was offered a studio painter gig but GW being GW, the money was so bad I couldn't take the job. Paul left a few years after me and got a supervisor job at GW in the factory. He couldn't afford to take drop in pay to be a studio painter either :(

Me and Paul were painting buddies. We painted together when we were in the RAF at Coltishall. I left the RAF in 1990 and moved away that's when I stopped painting. We painted our Golden Demon Entries together and critiqued each others work, it made us both better. He went on to work for GW later.

Now that IS freaky! I'm originally from Gloucester.

Hmm very strange, name doesn't ring a bell but I've never lived in a bedsit. I was in the military living on base then I got married.

LOL i think he's fibbing (or thinking of someone else) I don't think my wife would have let me live in a bedsit :)

I’ve wanted to paint Vellas Von Faine since I first saw the figure and I managed to snag all 4 Crimson Court figures on eBay. Not sure which one to paint next as they are all so cool

If you need a tester let me know, I have next to no grip in my left hand and these look perfect! :)
