Just out: Rep. Valerie Foushee said she would decline AIPAC's financial support in the #NC04 primary, but a pop-up super PAC with ties to a reclusive billionaire AIPAC donor has dropped $600k for her... so far.
This is a huge scandal. Under pressure, a Dem rep said she would refuse AIPAC money. So instead Hakeem Jeffries is secretly funneling AIPAC money into her race through a shadow super PAC.
Party leaders donβt even consider the notion of sticking to her promise.

How Brothel Workers in Nevada Just Made Labor History
The courtesans at Sheriβs Ranch were staring down a horrifying new contract. So they did what workers everywhere do: They got organized.
When faced with a shockingly exploitative new employment contract that wouldβve forced them to sign away their IP, their likeness rights, and their power of attorney, Jupiter Jetson and her coworkers at Sheriβs fought backβfast.
They organized a union in SIX DAYS. www.thenation.com/article/econ...

Anthropic, which presents itself as the most safety-forward of the leading AI companies, has been mired in weeks of disagreement with the Pentagon over how the military is allowed to use its large language model, Claude. US defense officials have pushed for unfettered access to Claude's capabilities, while Anthropic has reportedly resisted allowing ts product to be used for mass surveillance or autonomous weapons systems that can use AI to kill people without human input. The Department of Defense (DoD) has integrated Claude into its operations, but has threatened to sever the relationship over what its top brass perceives as roadblocks erected by Anthropic.
At stake in the negotiations is whether the AI industry will push back against government demand for the military use of their
βautonomous weapons systems that can use AI to kill people without human inputβ sounds really bad to begin with. But put it together with the report about the AIs preferring nuclear war and it seems to cross that line to into existentially bad. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

ICE deportation flight leaves NH after 31 hours, exposes chronic problems
Local officials, activists and a former Omni flight attendant slammed the airline and ICE's decision not to cancel the scheduled deportation.
NEW FROM ME: The deportation plane stuck in the blizzard took off this morning after 31 hours, but not before exposing a much bigger problem with exceedingly long delays on ICE flights.

With New Policy, DHS Sets Its Sights on Incarcerating Up to 100,000 Refugees
βThis is probably one of the most unprecedented memos β introduced to impose trauma on refugees,β an organizer said.
On February 18, DHS sent a memo sent to field agents, stating that refugees who have been in the country for more than a year and still donβt have their green cards will now be subject to arrest and indefinite detention while their cases are reviewed, approved, and processed.

Trans community has been warning us this was coming for so long. This is the same technique that they always use. They love to use the ruse of "protecting the kids" to then ease everyone into banning the same care for adults.
We saw it with abortion and now with adult transition care bans.

SUNCOR ENERGY, INC., ET AL. V. COMM'RS BOULDER CTY., ET AL.
The petition for a writ of certiorari is granted. In
addition to the question presented by the petition, the parties
are directed to brief and argue the following question: Whether
this Court has statutory and Article III jurisdiction to hear
this case.
New: The Supreme Court takes up a MAJOR climate case that asks whether federal law preempts (that is, forbids) state-level claims against fossil fuel companies for damages related to climate change.
Climate advocates urged SCOTUS not to take this up... www.supremecourt.gov/orders/court...
