I need this nightmare to end so badly #Pistons

As a parent, I strongly wish the US had programs to support parents... but the data does not indicate that any of this would fix this. And its been going down since well before the 2020s.

I just think people are less bored than in the past tbh.

Somewhat of an aside, but I used to agree with takes on America's declining birth rates being linked to our lack of support for parents until I saw data from Scandinavian countries with generous benefits but also declining rates. Weird aside for the article to have imo.

Pistons are now 10-1 as underdogs after this game. That's insanity man.

Essentially, if Weaver was still here, I think we'd still be a solid playoff team by now. Because almost this entire core is Weaver. That's undeniable. But our ceiling would likely not be close to what it is now.

A shooter that same offseason and we made a somewhat similar leap (less likely if no coaching change)

-Weaver had some obvious picks and a few whiffs but sone genuinely brilliant moves

I think it's understandable that Pistons fans have a hard time with being nuanced on this, but it's a good piece.

Unfortunately, sports worldwide have a championship/trophy or bust mindset. I personally hate that and disagree with it, but it's interesting to know what mindset an athlete has.

Would be a very harsh question to ask any first time medalist though, I agree if that were the case.

I feel like this is a perfectly fine question for someone who is truly at the top of the sport.

For example, I think it would have been interesting to see Michael Phelps or LeBron James answer this question. Maybe they would feel the same, but maybe they wouldn't. I don't know!
