Recently I found The British Hen Welfare Trust. Their concept is so lovely. May all the commercial hens have a happy life.
There are some farms with concern for hens’ welfare in the Japanese egg industry though, they’re not very common yet.

I think it’s about time we acknowledge that someone can be loving but emotionally neglectful.

I don’t want to “laugh it off”. I want to feel fucking validated for my hurts and frustrations. I’m so sick of seeing the outlook on everything and feeling any hope I held being killed in real time.
I’m sick of this life and the unfair cruelty of the world.

It’s one of those days I truly see myself as a misanthrope but I wish I didn’t.
I know there’s people out there with the same hope for a brighter future for everyone, but it’s hard to feel anything but bleak acceptance, anger, and anguish.

-Opening up with something that genuinely triggers me and brings back horrible memories-

He’s literally my son and I’d fight a civilization for him 🐓❤️ He’ll wait outside my door for hours until I wake up

And it does! I was playing FFXIV at the time but sticky liked the music enough to sit there and watch

When I say Sticky’s clingy, this is what I mean ❤️ He becomes so visibly anxious even if I leave his sight for a short time and is determined to follow me everywhere.
When I’m back with him, he immediately relaxes. Chickens are great.
