Trees from the train between Penshurst and Edenbridge

This morning’s #commuterworld listening, on a heavily delayed train, gives me a chance to admire the skill of Lomond Campbell, reworking Dot Allison's songs with electronic gold dust on the new Subconsciousology collaboration

For me, Pierre Fournier in the Bach cello suites is a desert island recording...while for Vivaldi I'd plump for the AAM and Christopher Hogwood in the L'Estro Armonico concertos Op.3. So much to enjoy!

A first BBC Prom this summer...with dazzling piano playing from Alexandre Kantorow in Saint-SaΓ«ns, fun Rameau, an enjoyably macabre new piece from Jay Capperauld and finally a punchy Beethoven 5th. All under the brilliant Scottish Chamber Orchestra and their conductor Maxim Emelyanychev #bbcproms
