In this mountain biodiversity review, we emphasized roles of habitat creation, disruption, and oscillation in driving biodiversity. Additionally, we developed a set of geomorphic predictors that may influence biodiversity patterns, with the potential for application to other montane systems.

just looking quick through the spreadsheet, apparently Andean tectonics, LA-ICP-MSs, and the physics of turbulent flow are now advancing "neo-Marxist class warfare propaganda"? So sorry for everyone caught in this insanity 🀯

1/ How often does a major droughts hit the Alps? A deep dive into the data. 🌍

Having free and accessible drought data makes it easy to check how climate change has already impacted a region. Using our global drought dataset envidat.ch#/metadata/gl..., I took a closer look at the Alps. πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡

Can anybody update me on the state of the art for landslide mapping nowadays? Are people still using Sentinel or did everybody try to switch to Planet data? Are there still folks hand-mapping and/or using image segmentation, or am I a fool if I don't use AI?
