It’s almost as if the majority of Americans either: don’t even realize that these people are their employees, have decided that this is how they want the government treating citizens with different beliefs than theirs, or just plain don’t care. 🤷‍♂️

I’m a bit confused as to how members of Congress don’t realize that when they don’t do anything about this shit, they’re saying directly to Americans “I am taking the paycheck that you are giving me to do the job of standing up to the Executive Branch on your behalf and… just not doing that job”

Sorry, all I hear is “I am too stupid to have seen this inevitably occurring, even though I’ve personally witnessed him turn on others countless times”.

At this rate, he’ll be at “I barely knew her, just said hi a few times at parties” by the end of the week.

Every time that happens, as soon as I join the call I put a meeting on my calendar with my co-worker for 15 minutes later.

When he sees ‘meeting of utmost business importance’ he knows to just accept and join but never actually call in.

I try to convince myself that they’re ’on the inside’ so they know things that we don’t, and there’s actually a valid reason for standing by right now.

We don’t see it from their perspective, and I have a hard time believing that they’re all just capitulating like Congress.

I think that this is ONE of the reasons that the republicans seemed to have no problem at all with the shutdown—no job market data being released.

It’s fn brutal out there, and anyone looking, or who knows someone that looking, is well aware of just how bad things actually are.
