The most effective safety system is still an involved parent.
Playing games with your kids, knowing what they are playing, and talking about what they see gives you more insight than any console will.
Platforms matter. Policies matter.
But families being part of the experience matters most.

My kids don't believe me when I talk about the way licensed games used to be EVERYWHERE back in the day.
I show them screenshots of games like Cory in the House, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Disney's Hercules.... they just tell me I'm nuts.
Bug Fables is such a gem! I love the Paper Mario meets A Bug's Life vibe.

But, I think we all know at this point that they make so much money that they don't care.
