2024 challenged me in every way. 2025 better be different

The last few days I have been laser focused and you know what? I absolutely love that for me. I want 2025 to be my smoothest sailing year yet and I’m going to ensure it no matter what pops up. ✨ It’s def time to pour into my own cup now.

Either because you’d be surprised the ruin that unfolds when you do. Love is honestly one of the most beautiful things to experience when done right & thankfully my partner now is the missing piece I never knew I needed.

Having a partner who sees you, who you can be your most authentic self with is BEAUTIFUL. Even though my first go didn’t work out, marriage is still a beautiful and bold commitment. You cannot be selfish or stubborn & you SHOULD NOT discuss your issues with any & everyone

So many of us say we want marriage but a lot of us really not ready yet. We glamorize the wedding day forgetting life with your person (the good/bad & indifferent) is truly seen after (unless yall been living together already)

Can you hold your tongue and NOT throw their insecurities or struggles back in their face during a disagreement? Can you not bicker, nag or ignore them or their needs because of what you want in *that moment*?

Will you be able to hold down your spouse if shit gets brown without embarrassing them by talking to everyone abt the situation? Can you do things w/o immediately expecting something back? Are you willing to discuss finances, cars, dates, friends etc without getting nasty?

Choosing to love your partner is major esp in the moments you don’t like them so much and you should definitely lay out your non negotiables before tying the knot. Will you say you’ll commit to trying things they like but then end up resenting them when the time comes?

Unless you’re emotionally and mentally able or mature. Because every day will not be sweet but you can find something sweet in every day. Wanting to tell ur partner F off over dishes or something “small”’in the grand scheme of things is not it!

Having been married before there are definitely some things that I know to never do again! Whatever red flags you ignore during your “singleness” will be the big blowouts when you’re married. Marriage is a serious commitment & I beg you pleaseeee do not marry out of emotion or “feeling butterflies”

I have a 6th sense for them. I went to a Christmas lunch last year and smelled them before I bit the cake. My mum was like I don’t think they’re in here, I told her if I bite this and it has it raisins imma scream. Bit it and I spat that shit out so fast 🤮 I was right! Nasty!!!

I shall never put nastiness in my mouth 🤣 have you tasted those? I hated them from small and I still detest them to this day!
