Happy 7th Mars landiversary, Curiosity π
An edited screenshot of a Tumblr post. The first part reads: "people who celebrate mars specific anniversaries of spacecraft landings are annoying pass it on." The second part reads: "FUCK this post and happy mars birth sol Curiosity!"
I spent way too long making this on my phone

A picture of Mars taken during astronomical twilight (the sun was 13Β° below the horizon). It shows a dimly lit reddish landscape with some hills at the horizon. Deimos, Mars' smaller moon shines with a small halo in the pale sky above.
This photo from the Perseverance rover captured in early March, may be my favorite Mars image from this year.
It shows Mars' smaller moon Deimos over the hills of the Nili Planum region in the dark skies before dawn. π

Title: Gender Census 2025. Text: If you can't easily put yourself into just one of these two boxes, you are invited to take part. Illustration: Two boxes, each with photos of relevant dictionary pages.
The 12th annual international Gender Census 2025 is now open until at least 30th August 2025!

It's for anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.
An image of a martian landscape, handcoloured on twelve sheets of paper. The colours range from pink (representing the brightest areas) to black (representing the darkest areas). The landscape is mostly blue and purple, representing a mostly flat area with some large buttes to the right side. At the bottom right corner, the back of the Curiosity rover can be seen. All twelve sheets of paper are taped together, then taped onto a white cinderblock wall. The colouring styles of each sheet are different, as they were all done by different people. Some are a series of horizontal lines, some are scribbled in, and some are fully coloured in.
Sometimes a group meeting can be seven grad students, three undergrads, a postdoc, and their advisor all working on Mariner 4 inspired art. (Original image: photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA2...)

While I techhhnically don't need the code (I mostly just idly went 'huh I wonder how this is different than the packages I'm using') I am tempted to reach out anyway because I spent most of the morning on this rabbit hole (and dragging Conor with me)
