I saw John Sebastian open for Robin Williams in 1982. He was great. Also, cross-pollination of scenes was crazy back then.

14 months ago I canceled my Sunday newspaper delivery. 2 months ago they finally stopped delivering (hey, I’ll take a free paper). This morning: a paper on my lawn.

The one I’m most surprised about is Cleveland.

A life well lived: the family is gathering in Paso Robles this weekend to spread my father-in-law’s ashes, and one of the wineries we’re going to visit asked us to bring a photo of him that they can put on their ofrenda this year.

There are so much worse things going on, but I just have to say that I get so sick seeing those rooms in the White House, the American people’s house, that now look like a leprechaun had diarrhea in a Hobby Lobby.

The house I grew up in had a party line into the mid-80s. Only 3 or 4 houses left on the line by then.

As someone who lived there for 14 years, I too am excited by this possibility.

We empowered staff (backed by a solid memo from our City Attorney) to shut that nonsense down. Other places need to do the same.

Spent way too much time on this at work. Let’s start with the letter of the law, which states that a “service animal” (as opposed to an emotional support animal) must be a dog or (weirdly) a miniature horse. Then we have to weed out the obviously untrained dogs.
