The DizzyAGE engine was released 20 years ago on the 6th March.

As of today, 171 Fan Games were made using this engine and over 30 authors who brought their DizzyAGE creations to life!

It's a Macromedia Director game, the support for which has been wip for years already.

Remember, these ports were made to run on most basic 386 CPUs with double speed drives. Or even 286s and 1x speed for some of them!

There's even an option to enable video intended for single-speed CD-ROM drives, which lowers the video quality even further!

Most likely all these ports were developed using the same or just slightly changed framework that was easy to wholly reimplement once one of the games was stable enough.

Yes, but now they can be experienced that way on ALL THE PLATFORMS!

Yeah so media titles don't have to make sense to be cool. Doom? Quake? Those are cool, but mean nothing in relation to the games. Sure, "Avoid the Awful Thing that Vaguely Resembles a Banana!!" is a great title as well, imo, but that's a rarity.

Sort of. Uspensky wanted to retain the rights to the Kolobki name, and Tatarsky & Kovalyov wanted to keep own their characters, so that's how they decided to settle it.

Pilot Brothers games are based on a Soviet animated series "Kolobki are on the Case" co-created by Igor Kovalyov. In 1991 Kovalyov joined Klasky Csupo where he became responsible for the visual style of "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters," among many other things.

I had no idea that "Pilot Brothers" (1997) had an official English language demo. No changes have been made to the voices, but all graphics and text are indeed in English. And you get 3 whole levels out of 15.
