Observations on Early Versions of Wizardry Wizardry is the first role playing game to make a substantial, widespread impact on video gaming. First released for the Apple II in 1981, it spawned many, many ports, sequels and spinoffs. Its origins tend to be obscured by later releases and re-releases, so in this blog article I will discuss what made the features of Wizardry as it was first released to the public so interesting. Read more Β» You say "obsessed" as if it is a bad thing.

Fantastic transfer, btw. Lots of detail. It's grainy, and you can see hairs in the gate, and scratches on glass. Excellent stuff. I believe this is the transfer that is currently being exhibited at the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens until the end of May. Go see it.

The biggest indication Meta had pulled all the resources out of VR is an update on Quest 2 that asked to create an unlock pattern, which I did, but when I rebooted afterwards the *next* update changed the dot configuration completely, and... that's it. πŸ˜‚ Support says gotta factory reset. Great. πŸ‘

Sometimes these demos were also included along with a full game. In case of Peter Pan it could have been any of the other Story Painted Adventures developed by Novotrade, or other games under the EA Kids label.

Well, as far as I know even the full version of this game is like 7 megabytes compressed, so I doubt that particular demo was a whole disc. But usually large demos were distributed through magazines as coverdiscs.

This is not just Cyrillic, but specifically a case of Doctor's Cursive. Unreadable to mere mortals.

Remember, these ports were made to run on most basic 386 CPUs with double speed drives. Or even 286s and 1x speed for some of them!
