A small gryphon-like creature inspired by the New Zealand kererū/wood pigeon. It has a striped, fluffy tail and is wearing a jade pendant around it's neck.

Another old custom gryphlett I completely forgot I made until my friend was talking to me about seeing kererū in NZ and I remembered I had this little cutie hidden away somewhere. I'm still fond of this lil guy.

The greyscale image on the right is what I was seeing while I was painting, and the colourful image on the left is how it turned out after I switched the colours back on

decided to try that funky art challenge where you switch your ipad to greyscale mode and paint something. The little swirly blob is where I pulled my values from.
This was a lot of fun and I definitely want to try it again in the future!!
