What are people drinking?

Every year I pass the hat and get the boss a present.

Usually I research a cocktail and buy the corresponding liquors. Bag it up nice with a recipe card.

But I don't drink. And I'm struggling with cocktail ideas. I'd LOVE some ideas from people who drink.

This is one of my fave high school memories.

I hope someday I get the chance to tell him that his comment 40 years ago still brings me joy.

I made my purchase and as I turned to leave, in walks JD ROBERTS! A beloved muchmusic host who was in town for something.

He said "hi" to me. Like he knew me. I reflexively chirped back "Hi" and as I was leaving I heard one of the cool boys say in an awed hush: "she *knows* him!"

The year was 1986, I was a chubby awkward kid in grade 11. I had a free period and walked to the store bear school to buy a cold pop and a single smoke.
