Terrance Shannon Jr not playing tonight is a clear indication that he is the 8th man in the rotation. It’s also a shame to see that Coach Finchy said he would expand the rotation to 9 possibly 10 and all his actions and words indicate that we will have 8 starters again at least to start the year.

Jaylen Clark reminds me of Naz Reid in 22-23. All we heard in that offseason was how Naz wouldn’t be in the rotation because of KAT and Rudy and how in reality he was the 3rd string center. Jaylen right now is being casted out but his impact will be inevitable in a team begging for perimeter defense

Joan in reality should show, be in a lower stance and have active hands to prevent that easy pass. TJ does the right thing and shows a body immediately, Rob was too quick to leave his assignment and 47 was left with the easy decision, Rob should just stunt and recover. Put bones is a bad position

I think he would be better next to the key starters anyways. All his minutes have been with Bones, Rob or 3rd stringers who have put him in BAD defensive rotations. If he had good poa defenders that just limited his role to screen, roll, rebound and rim protection he would look 10x better.

This unit is not it, no one understands what they are doing. Rob is better when playing next to Ant, Jaden, Rudy. TJ is better when playing next to Donte, Randle and Ant… but Rob and TJ trying to lead a second unit without veterans is just not good. They have no calming presence.

Joan Beringer needs to learn concepts, his instincts in drop coverage are solid anything outside of that is a struggle. His feet are choppy, he wants to swipe and jump at everything. He’s raw and I won’t hold that against him.

I can’t be too mad at the young guys for making young mistakes when they never get the consistent minutes to iron out mistakes. How can I blame Rob, TJ, Lenny or Joan for missing on concept when they don’t get the live reps for it

Also the 2nd unit has almost been conditioned to switch? The just give up on every screen and just end up switching which leads to mismatches all over.

Jaylen Clark has to play. TJ and Rob just don’t understand simple pick and roll concepts. It’s insane how much the 2nd unit will get picked on without NAW if they don’t play Jaylen.

Whatever that 2nd unit was… I didn’t like it defensively.

Adam Amin and Stacy King are one of the best broadcast crews in the league. Which if you’re the bulls fan at least you have a fun broadcast to listen to if you’re ass.

He’s being intentional about trying new stuff, which is the first time in a long time I’ve seen Ant play like he’s overthinking everything. Not knowing when to post, when to make the extra pass, when to take over. I’m sure he’ll iron that out fairly quickly.

Ant is an elite scorer, if he comes out and averages 30 from the jump… there is no denying that he has arrived as an MVP caliber player. At age 24 is when Shai started averaging 31/6/5 and was top 5 in MVP votes. Ant CAN duplicate that. Thats the season the Thunder went 40-42 and got bounced by Ant.

I feel like everyone forgets about how Ant took a scoring leap right before our eyes last year. In the 2nd half of the season he averaged 30!!/6/6 on 45/39/85 splits. He got to the line 8 times per game. If he duplicates that, next year he won’t vault straight to MVP but will be top 5 unanimously

If they want to maximize possessions, then they simply have to rebound better, doesn’t make sense that this team isn’t an elite rebounding team on both ends. Hope they proof me wrong but something tells me, I’ll be frustrated with how slow this team is in the regular season, especially the starters.

I think the Wokves have to scratch that “play with pace” I legit cannot take that sentiment seriously when Mike Conley, Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert are going to be made main priorities this season. If you intend on playing with pace then Rob, TJ and Jaylen all have to play more.

Aaron Gordon got guarded by Rudy Gobert for 2 playoff series and said NEVER AGAIN! The dude is such an elite shooter now, it’s night and day.
