I tried going back to DAI a while ago and everyone’s hair looks like pudding was spilled on a bald head. After Veilguard’s hair physics, it looks comical.

I saw SO many people say this when DAV came out. I had to wait a bit for the game since I had JUST moved and bought a new PC. And all the “retcons” were stuff that the series had hinted at throughout the series. So either people didn’t pay attention, or they hadn’t played/read anything in 10 years.

If memory serves, it was also when a lot of companies were intentionally making games harder to marathon because they hated the Blockbuster renting model cutting into their sales. They figured if a game can’t be beaten over a weekend, people would be less likely to rent them.

It definitely shows its age in that it came out before paid DLC was common, so the main gimmick to trick people into spending an extra $10 was to design the game to need a guide, and SquareEnix already had multiple Final Fantasy games with that design specifically implemented, so it bled into KH too

I guess it’s a play on “doing the time warp?”
