Spent waaaay too long trying to decipher the handwriting in this panel before realizing it's a lightbulb. #AmTranslating
A cool thing about having friends who do cool things is that they sometimes write a book about smashing the patriarchy in Japan, like this friend of mine did. You should read it if you are a person who can read Japanese!
A cool thing about learning languages is that sometimes words become time capsules, and the first place you learned/used a word gets imprinted in your brain so that every time you use that word after that, your brain is sent back to that moment where you first encountered it.
Yeah, they really don’t want us to have nice things (delicious food from other countries)

If you, like me, have been wondering where the Ethiopian food in Tokyo is, it’s here. You can get injera right here. It won’t fix you, but it will probably make you feel better.
I lol'ed
Excellent dadding all around!
It is definitely in the dad joke spirit.
I had enough of it sticking back during the big snow last month. I liked watching this fall from the sky and then disappear!
Just typed “nexxxt week” and accidentally turned this light novel into a bass-line heavy porn. #AmTranslating
What's your favourite dad joke? I need a few for a translation I'm working on, and I'm coming up short. (But also: it's fun to take a dad joke break sometimes!)
My friend sent me this, and I can't stop laughing.

Yes!!
I am actually in need of this kind of more casual, reactive dad joke, but I love reading all the dad jokes everyone is bringing. I think you get to the heart of the dad joke as the conversational tripwire for the child.
Excellent dad jokery all around! I have a friend (not a dad in reality, but in spirit) who does the しょうがない one, and I cackle with delight every time.
International dad jokes! I wish I knew Spanish.
Excellent dad question!
It's wild! I've never seen snow here in March!
One of my personal faves is (which is less a joke-joke, but still a dad joke in my opinion):
"I'm hungry."
"Hi, Hungry. I'm Dad."
I have absolutely been there. Just scratching your head at every single line until someone goes, well, if only the rocket hadn't exploded, we wouldn't be stuck here in space. And then all the pieces snap together like rare earth magnets.
omg! This is such a treasure trove. Thanks!

Sometimes, some things just don't make any sense.
Cursèd forward march!

There were not kidding about the 厳しい寒さ on the news yesterday.
Snow! In Shinjuku!! In March!!!
