I don't know who needs to know this, but Pro Publica has an online thing that will format a letter to your US health insurance company to demand the records behind a claim denial. (which the insurance is then legally required to provide in most cases)

...and that if my doctor determined I needed it (duh, that's why it was prescribed), then I should still take it.

Yep - let me just come up with that $15k/month to pay for it out of pocket 🙄

Oh and the approval is only for a year so I get to go through this again in a few months.

Not shocked. I take Humira and it was a 3+ month fight to get it approved after 1+ year of failing other cheaper drugs. My ("good") insurance denied multiple times, at one point saying I wasn't sick either to justify the cost, but that the denial didn't mean I didn't need it (1/2)
