It's just a little frustrating sometimes because Ranja and Taele are characters I love a lot, yet are trapped in this sorta walled garden because I didn't create them TO RP with. I love Fabiana and Mercie, but I kinda wish I could have my cake and eat it with all four of them.

Because so little of their narrative is defined by the narrative of XIV, it allows them to be much more dynamic and, honestly, much more *real*. We are all shaped by our interactions with everyone we meet, and Fabiana and Mercie are no exceptions to this rule.

Compare them to the characters I wrote specifically for RP, like Fabiana and Mercette. They have pretty well defined starting points and histories, as well as personalities, but they are not WoLs and are not involved in the WoL's story, except maybe as occasional guest stars for Ranja or Taele.
