Hereβs my demo from PhpUpstate of PHP on iOS that @simonhamp.me and @marcelpociot.bsky.social have been working on.
Thank you @ericlbarnes.com from @laravelnews.com for recording it.

Yeah, true. Even though I like that it feels a lot more like actually playing via TTS.
But BGA is cool as well. I play a lot of Space Base on there π
Alright, I know a lot of devs who are into board games. And for years I've been thinking about organizing a virtual "meetup" to chat and play some games with others.
This works great with something like Tabletop Simulator on Steam.
Would anyone be interested in this?
I could use your help gathering some data for my upcoming Laracon EU talk.
If you ever had a slow Laravel application/slow request/slow command/etc. - what was the reason for it?
Would be great to get as many replies as possible. Please share for reach π
Purchasing Laravel Herd Pro last year has been a fantastic investment. It completely replaced Ray(), mailpit, and DBngin for me.
Plus, it's compatible with WordPress, making it well worth the price, in my opinion.
The Table Plus button on the DB service is also a nice touch.
And I need to bring a big suitcase π
I've been to some local board game pubs at PHP UK and LaravelLive DK. Would be awesome to play some games again - might as well be part of the official social event π
I got mint the other week as well! I'm I haven't found the time to play it yet though π
The feeling of accomplishment when you finally fix a bug, or make something finally work is why I love coding so much.
I'm starting the new year with a bunch of exciting new ideas and experiments that need proof of concepts.
The first one is already done - I'll share a video demonstrating this soon.
The other idea is one of those " why has nobody done this yet?!" moments.
Pumped for 2025!
A lot of the things we share in our year-in-review posts are about work - or code.
But I wanted to share some photos of the people that I loved to hang out with this year. There were obviously more, but I can only share up to 4 photos π
Can't wait to see y'all again 2025 β€οΈ
Moar π₯§ for your plate?
Just released 0.4.0 of the new PHP Installer for Extensions tool with some nice enhancements and contributions π

Missed the vote, but we're using a bunch of larger arm runners for all Herd related actions.
We probably will need to self host again to build some services, which require very specific macOS versions that GitHub simply doesn't provide.
added full voice support to my OpenAI Realtime swift library
now building a "ChatGPT Advanced Voice mode"-like app takes 3 lines of swift

Yeah, for this specific action that's way faster π€·ββοΈ
Pretty cool - using php.new in my GitHub workflow makes it run ~1 minute faster π
Damn, I missed this a month ago. I would've loved to see this in IMAX again π₯²
Nice! I'm just starting to dig into magic electronic music via Logic Pro and I really enjoy the process. But man, there's so much new stuff to learn
You don't wanna see the commit history leading up to this π
