If you want to know how these people think and see the world, there are a lot of great podcasts hosted by their peers.

You can't reasonably assume that he's slaving away in his 50s despite being worth hundreds of billions solely to grow that number.
I know some really talented people worth way less who're semi-retired and enjoying their life after pulling 80 hr weeks in their 20s & 30s.

01.03.2025 16:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You're rejecting the very idea or morality to equivocate in favor of a brutal totalitarian regime.
It's structurally identical to the analogies I've put forward, and extremely stupid & evil.
Lol

As I said, you're stupid & insane if you genuinely buy your arguments
Liar!
bsky.app/profile/luke...
That's objectively insane & 'tarded. Who gaslit you into believing this nonsense?
This goes beyond moral-relativism, you're rejecting morality completely (probably without realizing it) by indulging non sequitur along the lines of:
"If you said a bad word it's alright for him to murder people"
Those are some terrible examples as far as whataboutisms go. Are you a communist?
28.02.2025 16:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We get it, you're an insecure narcissist who thinks repetition somehow fixes invalid arguments.
Just remember that you don't need to be upset or hurt kids
Our schools are not your churches.
No taxpayer vouchers for private religious schools.
Why don't you feel bad for the children you want to see hurt?
28.02.2025 12:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I've worked with Chinese firms and am reasonably familiar with the resources sector. The CCP is fine with bribing, assassinating & coercing officials in a way that would make the CIA from the 60s blush.
These are often large state owned/backed firms so it's almost certainly state policy.
It's ludicrous to claim that China's trying to "not be imperialized" by stealing Africa's resources, putting minorities in concentration camps and building global military & invasion capacity.
I don't see Vietnam, Malaysia India etc.. doing anything similar or "being claimed" by the US
I have friends in legacy American auto and most of them are still in denial about EVs. O&G workers lean the same way.
I know VW isn't faring well on the engineering front and looking to buy/partner with EV startups to bridge the tech gap.
Does hurting children make you happy?
28.02.2025 09:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's obvious that China doesn't see itself as a benign local power anymore. It's a near peer competitor and one with far fewer ideological or ethical qualms wrt its methods
28.02.2025 09:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0China, or rather the CCP has been propping up North Korea & Russia.
It's rapidly building its blue-water navy & logistics capacity and is setting up overseas bases & facilities. There are quasi-PLA bases & Chinese PMCs across Africa to secure its interests

28.02.2025 09:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How do Europeans see China? China's rapidly itself & stealing our tech + IP while simultaneously destroying entire industries with heavy handed subsidies (steel, PV cells etc..).
We tried to be partners & helped them modernize, but they've always acted in bad faith.
I hope you're right and that most people will see sense, but I feel a lot of us erroneously assume that everyone's a high-information voter
The media & advertisements hold sway because most people don't care enough to put in the time and effort to inform themselves or question common assumptions
Oh yeah, and in Vance's case he's publicly stated that he intends to seize power and use the state machinery to go after his opponents
They don't like gays, women, minorities, immigrants etc.. and their influencers want to exclude everyone but straight white christian men from positions of power
Ah, I thought Germans were mostly progressive and pro green energy (I'm generalizing ofc). Was he disliked before his recent political antics?
28.02.2025 08:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Precisely. The far-right is inherently parochial & adversarial so their alliances are inherently weak.
Their co-operation is merely an artefact dependent on the liberal social fabric & consensus they're trying to destroy.
Agreed, but I feel fascists and populists are tapping in to that anger and resentment to seize power.
28.02.2025 07:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In light of all that's happened, I'm hesitant to trust the vote base and our media's ability to inform them accurately & effectively on issues
28.02.2025 07:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed, but I think Europe has a done a poor job of filtering out bad actors wrt immigration/asylees and that (alongside a general distaste for bureaucracy) motivated populism Γ la Brexit, AfD, Orban etc...
28.02.2025 07:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, selfish is perhaps the perfect word to describe this administration and its geopolitical priorities. Short-sighted is a close second, especially as we seek to contain China's influence across the world.
28.02.2025 07:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Fair enough. How do you see Europe proceeding on immigration & refugees/asylees? I see the AfD, Reform, Fd etc.. taking an increasingly hardline stance with younger voters skewing right.
28.02.2025 07:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, a lot of people seem to agree with you. I've observed Germans on the left & right grow increasingly resentful of the US.
