🚨 BREAKING: In response to today's disruption on Merseyrail, Steve has commissioned an independent review to examine and address the failures that led to it.

Transport bosses from Merseyrail, Network Rail and Stadler will also be summoned to answer before the region's Transport Committee.

The complete cancellation of Merseyrail services today is unacceptable.

People in our region deserve better, and I won’t stop until they get it.

The riots that took place last Summer showed the dangers of unchecked misinformation and racial hatred spread across social media.

Truth matters, and we all have a duty to uphold it—whether on X or elsewhere.

If platforms won’t act, it’s time we rethink where we engage.

🏗️ Spread across Bootle, Anfield, Everton and Kirkdale, the development could see more than 10,000 homes built and wide scale regeneration.

Quite a Christmas present for the blue half of the Liverpool City Region.

Everton are part of the fabric of English football. This new era is great news for the club, fans and our wider region.

Hopefully this allows them to turn the page and look forward to a brighter 2025!

We stand ready in the Liverpool City Region to be the delivery arm of national government. 💪

Following the summer's violent disorder, I said we’d stand united and rebuild—and we did.

The reopening of Spellow Library proves that when communities pull together, anything is possible.

The power of community will always prevail. Nowhere is that more true than in Liverpool.

Tributes paid to former Knowsley Council Leader, Ron Round - Knowsley News Ron Round, who was leader of Knowsley Council for 12 years, and spent 29 years as a councillor, has passed away aged 89.

Gutted to hear of Ron Round's passing. He was instrumental in the creation of the Combined Authority.

Ron was a true champion for Knowsley and his tireless work for its residents will not be forgotten. My thoughts are with all those who loved him.

In just a few short months as 'Passenger in Chief', Louise Haigh moved fast and was already beginning to fix things.
