Been working on converting our guest bedroom into my office space. Tonight it was complete enough to finally move my desk into the space. :) Need to build some bookcases etc. but for now it will be a process of moving and orgainzing all my stuff that had been shariing space in my wife's office.

I'm so tired of the lunacy of our local school board. In October they banned several books from the 10th grade curriculum, so the teachers had to scramble to find alternatives. Last night they voted against three of the 5 alternatives. They kept "Little Women", and "The Great Gatsby" ... facepalm

This is my local school board. We made ground in the 2025 election taking 48% of the vote, but we lost to the extreme right candidates. Things have only gotten worse. Last night they voted to pull three books from the ELA suggested curriculum, after last October doing the same with 3 other books.

@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social our local school board just banned our 10th grade English curriculum from reading “Turtles All the Way Down” because they felt it might negatively impact the students’ mental healthy I kid you fucking not. Elizabethtown PA Area School District.
