14.04.2025 20:23 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I added some error tracking and havenโt been able to see where it happens. Iโve also deleted and reinstalled the app many times and canโt reproduce it. Any ideas on what I can try to make it happen? I assume you deleted/reinstalled? Would love to track it down.
10.04.2025 18:34 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You might try bolt.new and use Expo. Thereโs no native build configuration to deal with and you can still use native code. Might help with Xcode builds failing/a tough debugging experience.
Would be interested to see if you have more luck!
It looks like borderBottomWidth is not supported: reactnative.dev/docs/textinp...
I would try removing styles from that text input and then adding a View around it to style it with your own look.
Whatโs your app? Would be interesting to see the before and after.

05.03.2025 01:45 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Best Supporting Actor/Actress: Expo. After years of supporting React Native, Expo has now teamed up with Al platforms like Replit and Bolt to allow developers (and normies) to build and ship mobile apps "without writing any code" - or at least a lot less code. Hopefully this will usher in another App Store golden age, because l've really been missing Lightsaber Unleashed and Doodle Jump.
Congrats to us for winning best supporting actor/actress in the Bytes.dev OSScars

22.02.2025 15:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Iโm not sure yet. I assume you deleted and reinstalled? Makes me wonder if the app got confused about which dictionary to use. Definitely sounds like a problem I need to fix. I can investigate!
22.02.2025 15:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Just launched the first version of the React Native Directory VS Code extension! ๐
Now you can effortlessly discover & integrate React Native libraries into your project, without leaving VS Code.
Give it a try and let me know what you think! ๐

Free accounts get 30 builds (up to 15 iOS), free submissions, 100K hosting requests, and ~60 over the air update publishes per month on @expo.dev.
And now you can automate it all so that a push to main = delivered code.
If you want to make a real mobile app, but you donโt program or know React/Expo, you can. ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ

Panel 1: "Hi! My name is Jason". Panel 2, second person: "Ah! Nice to meet, you Jason". Panel 3, the person is taking that name and trying to jam it into their brain, where there are already some squares in their cartoon head. A small rectangle says "friends", a small one says "family", and a much larger one is the Expo logo. The first person's name is squished going in, clearly not sinking in. Panel 4, second person: "Say Jarvis, wanna hear about building truly universal native apps with React ath run on Android, iOS, and the web?"
Sometimes people ask me for my opinions about React Native tech and it's basically just this.

Docs: docs.expo.dev/eas/workflow...
That's it for today. We're still working on a bunch of things, like approval jobs, more pre-packaged jobs (like fingerprint), and later cron jobs for the biweekly release crowd.
Is there a feature you'd love to see? Lmk!
๐ We have updated docs. Check out our new examples doc, which has easy to copy/edit workflow configs.
We also have a new syntax guide. It's now easier to figure out everything you can automate.
๐คณ Our UI is made for app developers. That means you can publish an update and your team will see a QR code to preview it in seconds. We'll also show you compatible builds for that update. Or you can even open it in Orbit!
07.02.2025 15:48 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0๐ You can now re-run entire workflows or from failed jobs. When you confirm, you'll *instantly* see the new workflow re-running. Great for flakey Maestro tests.
07.02.2025 15:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0โ๏ธ We also made the list of jobs on the page match your YAML config. Why? You might have 10 jobs, then a build at the end, and you want your team to download the build.
This makes it so that you can put the build first in your YAML and it'll appear above the fold.
We released a product called workflows, a React Native CI/CD, late last year. Heard a *ton* of feedback and there are a lot of new features. Let's dive in:
๐บ๏ธ We now display a topologically sorted map of your workflow, so you can see what's in progress, finished, failed, etc.
