Watching #raidersofthelostark on @AMC. I saw this in first run in Manhattan, Kansas in 1980 while I was in the 1/34 Armor. I had a life decision to make. Should I reenlist in the Armored Cavalry or try to become an academic. It was a long difficult haul, but I have never regretted my decision.

This obscure fact came to me from @Docbotz world renown robot history expert.

So it sounds as if Starbucks is changing its policy and they can now kick you out if you're not a customer, which is inevitably reigniting public discourse about the need for third spaces, and you guys...libraries. Libraries. Patronize your library. Support your library. Tell your legislators to fund your library. This is one of many, many, many reasons libraries are crucial to a thriving community.

Cleaning out @docbotz office (I do this every once in a while to torture myself). I found her draft for her last journal article. It was an examination of the ethics of thinking robots. It was to be called 'Aint No Way to Treat Robot' a play on the Helen Reddy song, 'Aint no way to Treat A Lady'.

In 1972 I named my new dog (that my dad and I got from the @Bideawee Home in Manhattan) Sherman, from Sherman and Mr.Peabody. He was a good boi who passed in 1984 while I was in Rhode Island at RISD.
