I'd missed this: Democratic-endorsed candidates *swept* the 6 school board races in Mecklenburg County, one of North Carolina's largest counties (home to Charlotte).

This means there won't be a Republican on the board anymore; the sole GOP incumbent was ousted.

i am allowed some delusion tonight, so i will say this: if Mamdani was a natural born citizen, he'd be the far-and-away leading candidate for the Democratic nomination for President in 2028

Every single word of this Mamdani speech is fucking fire.

The later ballots are always more left-leaning. Wilson will still probably win.
