drawing character pairings can be so funny because there's always one person in the duo that I cannot ever draw consistently (or well) while the other takes about 10 seconds to sketch comfortably

so obsessed with this photo of them. it looks like one of those old marriage photos that would sit on someone's mantlepiece

bertie wooster enters his dark flat, drunk and disheveled. he's holding an umbrella defensively to the dark silhouette of a lamp, yelling: "JEEVES?? THIEF! THIEF!" in the next panel, the light is switched on, illuminating the room. bertie, disarmed, lowers his umbrella and is interrupted in his yelling: "HA- ah-?"

jeeves is seen next to the light switch and behind the lamp. he's wearing pajamas and has a book under his arm. a stray hair rests on his forehead. he looks unamused, but a little surprised, asking: "sir?" bertie looks back with a smile of relief and appreciation, a single tear sprouting from his eye. doves and butterflies are drawn beside his lit expression. "ah! there you are, jeeves!"

bertie throws himself into jeeves, his arms around his shoulders. bertie is smiling, while jeeves has a surprised and alarm expression. his arms are outstretched, as if he was going to catch a large ball. in the next panel, bertie is kissing jeeve's face, lipstick marks peppered on jeeves's chin and cheek. he looks unamused, one eye shut. he blushes irregardless, plainly stating: "welcome home, sir."
