my housemate Michael knocked an entire jar of pickled jalapeños off the kitchen counter and somehow, as the jalapeño juice was airborne, the cat ran DIRECTLY under it, soaking himself in spicy water 😭

Update: he is now scared of his own joke and won't tell it again 😂

5yo has started making up his own jokes. After I told him the joke "what does a dog wear to bed? ...PUPJAMAS!" his follow-up joke was:

Books With Pictures is my hometown local comic book store. I've painted faces, shelves, and a mural there. One summer I read books to kids in their garden every week. It's an important community space and it needs our help!

My housemate won an Ignatz award at SPX this year and so naturally my housemates and I are building a little gravity-powered vehicle out of a moldy, rusty rollerskate we found in a free box so that the Ignatz brick can be entered into an annual Brick Race in a small town a few hours drive away
