Camarillo, CA - Protesters have backed away further, and both sides appear to be in the process of leaving. One protester remains, entwined in a battle of bright lights with the federal government.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has just announced that she will be signing an executive directive to “support Los Angeles’ immigrant communities in the wake of unlawful raids conducted by the federal government.”

Two people she knows are about to be deported. They were here legally and on a path to citizenship.

One has a toddler who was born here who does not understand why his mama may have to leave.

It’s horrifying.
