They're a free 3D software but development costs time. In a world of stupidly expensive software with predatory subscription models they are a last unicorn π¦ for 3D modellers and other creatives. It's important to have this in the world.
With Blender, I know how to make the "dissolve on-off" effect that so many movies use. The moving-parts assembly that the first couple of movies have shows a fantastic amount of work and care involved.
