Super embarrassed, extremely apologetic. Like they had no concept they could be overheard(!) It was a white man. I always try and go in with talking to people IRL first as you would not fathom how often it is genuine ignorance behind a behaviour. Even though that sounds dumb.

I have actually been brave enough in the past to say to someone "hey, you know we can all hear the things you say about your business clients? I don't think that is going to adhere to gdpr."

When I talked it through with people I think the biggest one is probably being able to be emotionally appropriate - not over reacting, not taking things out on other people, not over-sharing, overcoming bad feelings and not let it sink us. Not that many have had good rolemodels of that ;)

Yup. Honestly I was pretty torn (as a new Green member) as an Andy Burnham PM run would have seriously deflated and conflicted me. Refusing him permission to run pretty firmly settled me in the Greens. I wonder how many others had the same 'last nail in the coffin' experience?

Hannah Spencer of the UK's left-wing Green Party won the contest for the vacant parliamentary seat of Gorton and Denton, with Nigel Farage's anti-immigration Reform party coming second, and Labour pushed into third place.

At the moment I'm mostly working from lunch through to the evening, so if I get up at a reasonable time I get quite a few pleasant, chilled mornings in the week. I can thoroughly recommend it as a working pattern.

I found recently I'm on a list of accounts that are AI. Makes no sense! I'd probably fit on the Luddite list better.

Quick therapist note: there's currently a spat going on regarding polyvagal theory (all that stuff about regulation, vagus nerve, nervous system stuff) and whether it's science or not (its probably not but also it is a handy metaphor) so please remember Psychology is usually guess work!

If you can judge a book by who takes the time to review it, then I'm doing really well.

That's a shame, it's such a fantastic idea. In the UK the supermarkets do their own and it's really big business - so much better for the environment to have one van deliver lots of people's food than lots of different car journeys, and gives much improved access to food for people who don't drive.

Probably not but sometimes you gotta do these things. I did something similar last year. It was a drag but I got a lot of tests that would have taken months to get via the gp. And sometimes bad things hide as relatively mild symptoms.

Exactly so. A party that is abolishing jury trials, steadily criminalising protest, doubling-down on austerity in the name of fiscal rules, and talks of βan island of strangersβ or βhard-working familiesβ
is not left, or even centre.
Labour and Reformβs relationship looks increasingly symbiotic.
