Itch.io is still pointing their finger at Stripe, so that’s where I’ll focus my ire until they provide something more substantial than this.

They just need to pass the buck to whoever it is that needs to be regulated.

Hi AleX, I'm confused by this response. You say your policies are designed to comply with various laws and financial industry requirements, but your list of Prohibited Businesses lists many legal products and services that your company has specifically chosen to exclude from your service without any applicable laws. Here, you go as far as to single out "mature audience literature" as just one example. Since there aren't any laws that l'm aware of banning adult fiction in the United States, I can only conclude that this was a precautionary decision of exclusion made by Stripe which goes very much beyond any notion of compliance and quite obviously into your own personal authority as a company. Why doesn't your company represent it as such? Especially when you claim that you don't have the authority to change the policies of other platforms. Clearly if they do not conform to this Stripe overreach they cannot use your service. Claiming that you have no authority in this relationship is both absurd and insulting to me as a concerned customer and vendor. I know you personally don't have the power to personally review your company's policies to ensure they are fair, but I would like to file a formal complaint about whoever is responsible for reviewing these policies for fairness, because I believe they are failing at this job and we need to see a good faith effort from this company to change to be more neutral with respect to legal products and services. Is there a phone number I could call to talk to whoever is responsible for this continuous review? I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my concerns, but you have only deepened them.
