My vacation started, so it's going to be rainy and stormy for the upcoming 3 weeks sorry everyone.

And did I mention: ticket prices are probably rising heavily again. I'm getting reluctant to pay. I didn't expect to say this, I have been a big fan of the Helsinki public transport my whole life and hate owning a car.

I discussed with a colleague born in latam and they said public transportation here is now what it typically is in many latam countries (unreliable+super crowded). And there, everyone capable of buying one has a car. This is where we are going if we normalize the state of public transport now.

I don't like driving a car, but now, for the first time in quite some time, I find myself thinking whether I should buy one.

If it would be just this summer I would suck it up but all summers have been like this since many years. Also, our nearest bus line has been super unreliable since it was "reorganised" early this year. It's not helping either.

Pretty much all public transportation is upside down in Helsinki for diverse maintenance work and it's *a mess*. If I would need to put my feedback about how this is organised in a nutshell it would be "f*ck you". Not that anyone asked though.

I thought I ordered 10 potatoes with my grocery delivery. Turns out I ordered 10 kgs. Guess what we'll eat this midsummer \o/ #nailedit

HBL is in its own league thoughthough: it constantly excels at finding the most Finnish-Swedish "ankdammen" things to write about. KUK-bilar! Korv-Görans new name!! Who could have thought!

It's some time ago I last read HBL, the newspaper in Swedish. There's so much value for money though: I just learned that there are 900 cars in Finland that (by mistake) have a license plate with the letter combination KUK.

The former ice hockey player Teemu Selänne was also one of my idols when I was young. Today I know better coming across his writings in social media.
