When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

I see CT public transit buses all over New Haven, but never school buses. What gives? How do the kids get to school?

45,000 people losing healthcare in such a small state. The Big Ugly Bill is a crisis for this nation—one self-imposed by leaders who manipulate democracy with rich people’s money in order to do their bidding. I only hope we can endure this cruelty long enough to reverse the tide and reinvest in us.

Great question by this reporter. Sad to say, Democrats at the highest level are bought and paid for by special interests, and even they and their funders are genuinely distressed by a progressive young leader who talks candidly about affordability and wealth distribution in the world’s richest city.

What do you do when your parents are genuinely the most explosive and abusive people in the world? Who do you turn to? Who do you talk to? When they always do that.
