If anything was kinda silly that a carrier was named after a tripolitan ketch. The issue is for how many 62s the navy wants there aren’t many good names that fit “early American navy” and some haven’t been used in since mid the 19th century and others like Wasp and Hornet are now carrier names.

Intrepid not being a carrier name is fine but it should have been a Constellation not a Burke.
