Even a 20-sided die can lose to a 6-sided one once in a while. In a world with increasing temperatures it is still possible to have cold days. But the evidence is clear: Global temperatures are warming and humans are the dominant cause.

It really depends on the grad program. We don’t have a program but my students who are eager learners with potential can get into some schools. But it seems that the best advice in the sciences is to connect with a faculty member whose work you can support and they get you into the program. Ymmv.
