Okay did my own research- UW apparently did it officially for an unknown amount of time prior to 2011 and then stopped. They started it up again in 2019. Still unknown on Oregon.

I like that the Oregon mascot guide for “what to do if your helmet falls off” is “comically scramble until nobody can see you”

Oregon especially- I went to a game at Autzen in 2015 and don’t remember them doing it at all.. I am pretty sure UW was doing it then when I went to Apple Cup that year but unsure if they really were before?

Question: have the other schools like Oregon and UW always done a Go *insert school mascot* chant across the stadium like we do? I know it’s probably not unique across the country but I don’t recall either doing it until more recently.. I know we have since at least the 80s
