REAL MEN USE NOHOMO TACTICAL DILDOS. THEY'RE EXTREME, BROTHER!
From there, a slightly altered version of the Terrafirmanator commercial:
"It's the most ruthless, five-hundred-horsepower, ass-dominating piece of hardware the world has ever seen!"

Read a Civil War history book that had a few paragraphs on antebellum drinking patterns. It's like Tennyson said, "we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven."

for those of you who werent adults during iraq, its hard to overstate how much the media loves war porn. they salivate over pentagon spin briefings. they love stories about all the bombs and how supposedly infallible they are. they love the notion of the commander in chief, in the situation room etc

Is it any more complicated than simple racism and sexism? Texas Republicans figure that, statewide, fewer Texans will vote for a black woman than a white man?
I wouldn't admire them for that calculus; but I wouldn't call it irrational.

The cut was off in the package of mini-submarine buns I've been using for my lunch this week. Instead of the cut being 25% or 50% of the way into the bun - or whatever is normal - it's like 5% up from the bottom.
Which is just not a structurally sound base for my sandwich artistry.

>>people will not trust you when you need them to in the future.<<
Is this true? I'd like it to be true. But I look around and see plenty of people trusting some of the most flagrant liars around while distrusting people who are pretty honest.

Pluralistic: 30 Sep 2021 β Pluralistic: Daily links from Cory Doctorow
Cory Doctorow has had a lot to say about "criti-hype" - criticism that serves as hype for the thing being criticized.
For example, when critics characterize Facebook as having evil mind-controlling algorithms, advertisers can conclude they are getting their money's worth.

Opinions on major questions are numerous in amount. One export tariffs impact is corn, or as the Indians call it, "maize." Another famous Indian was "Crazy Horse." In conclusion, major questions is a doctrine of contrast. Thank you.

We had both kids going to someone weekly for awhile. I can't remember what those instructors were charging. They weren't getting rich off of the lessons, but the outflow of money on lessons and instruments was noticeable for awhile.
On the other hand, can you really put a price on ISSMA gold? π

This is true. We went the rec sports route, which was fine. But now that you mention music - we had a good public school program. But we still spent quite a bit on private lessons, instruments, and whatnot.

Yup. And what's nuts is when you really look at it, there aren't that many athletes who are so good that they wouldn't be more than fine playing the available competition within a 10 mile radius of where they live.

As a parent who went through it not so long ago, there's a feeling that you might be making your kid miss out if you don't get them into travel sports. Maybe they won't be able to play on the varsity team in high school.
We resisted that & stuck with rec sports, and I'm glad we did.

I think it probably broke something in me. The American people mostly voted for or couldn't be bothered to vote against a corrupt, lying, racist criminal who is unable to complete a sentence and had previously tried to overthrow our government.

Starting to sound like a trip to the BMV where you feel the need to bring 15 documents, hoping that you get lucky and have whatever assortment they feel like they need that day.
Only instead of something to do with driving, it's your Constitutional right to vote.

A couple of those sting, but I might still vote "yes."

If we cap age of inauguration at 65, we lose Trump, Biden, Reagan, William Henry Harrison, and James Buchanan.
I personally thought Biden did a good job, but based on the available data, this is a Constitutional amendment I can get behind!
