So they removed the black chairman of the Joint Chiefs in the middle of his 4-year tour, without cause, and they're seeking to replace him with a white **retired** Air Force three-star general who lacks the requisite experience as a service chief or combatant commander? Huh, how about that

President-elect Donald Trump has communicated to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
that he wants his daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, to become the Sunshine State's next senator - but it's far from clear that DeSantis will acquiesce and appoint her, people familiar with the matter said.
Get the latest election news and results β
Lara Trump's interest in replacing Sen.
Marco Rubio (R-Florida) β who is set to become secretary of state β complicates an already fraught relationship between Trump and DeSantis, who waged harsh campaigns against each other in the GOP presidential primary. DeSantis is tasked with filling Rubio's seat and could boost his standing with the president-elect by appointing Lara Trump, who announced this past week that she will step down as co-chair of the Republican National Committee.
DeSantis is seriously considering Lara
Trump and cares about the president-elect's view, according to one person familiar with his thinking who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private deliberations. But the person believes DeSantis is more likely to pick someone who has held public office in Florida and said other contenders include the state's attorney general, Ashley Moody, and former statehouse speaker Jose Oliva.
This deadpan Washington Post story reports on Trumpβs blatantly corrupt effort to strongarm an appointment for his daughter in lawβwho has never held any public officeβas a US Senator without a single acknowledgment that it might be some kind of impropriety. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

This is where the incoming Trump team is going to likely have to recalibrate for unintended consequences as it prepares to step back into power. The prior toolkit can certainly be utilized, but it could have far more devastating impacts on the US and global economies in kind as China has evolved.

I might have been okay with a pardon that covered any offense Hunter Biden hasnβt already been convicted of or plead to. But weβve already spent too much time talking about this pardon. Itβs hardly important given the torrent of abuses we are about to see from the incoming administration.
