Mann's stylish take on couples therapy plays as harrowing thriller & macabre buddy comedy.

Gorgeous & compellingly performed by Cruise & Foxx. Screenplay soars when they are only two characters on screen. But generic ending lets them down.

They adhered to the old adage that any issue could be someone's first, so you got a complete story *and* everything you needed to know in 22 pages.

If you come across the other stuff from that MC2 line (particularly A-Next and J2) I'd give them a read, too. Classic stylings all around.

Great run. Absolutely classic storytelling.

I saw Defalco, Oliffe, and Frenz at a comicon or two during these years, and they were not shy about saying these were really the legacy comics of the pre-Quesada Marvel era.

I enjoyed this very much. Solid throwback kind of movie we don't see much of anymore.
