I made a promise to Alex’s parents to continue to tell his story.

An ICU nurse at the VA, an outdoorsman, a deeply generous, compassionate friend and family member, and a true son of Minnesota. Rest in peace, Alex.

RIP Alex Pretti,

He was my Dad’s ICU nurse. He read my dad’s final salute at the VA after he passed away. Never wanted to share this video, but his speech is very on point.

Also, my father’s final words to me were to continue to fight the good fight. He would be honored in Alex’s sacrifice, and ashamed of this current administration.

In my dad’s words, I encourage you all to continue to “fight the good fight.”

#DNA... where do I begin? I have been a #genealogist for almost 25 years. It is always a thrill for me to see ancient DNA confirm what most of my paper trail clearly shows. I know I'm an American with diverse heritage. DNA says the same. Wish I had East Asian DNA. Then I could claim DNA Bingo!

Daily life still moves on. We have a lot of interviews and audition submissions and project completion happening on the professional front. However, our son is on summer vacation-- his needs override all of it. Care and love those closest. Send love and kind messages to the rest. Live.

Regular everyday life events happen even when the world is hurting. Our dog ran away today and eventually made his way home. We filled up his pool, gave him a bath, and lots of attention. He had a need for adventure for as far as his will would take him. Love the ones you're with. Pray for the rest.

As a distraction, I started to sing random songs in a young iconic Angela Lansbury voice, and I can't stop laughing now. What is heard cannot be unheard. We do what we gotta do to keep sane, and sometimes that means getting a little crazy! #vo #voiceactor #singer #actress #broadway #humor
