USPS agrees to work with DOGE on reform, planning to cut 10,000 workers Postmaster General Louis DeJoy has agreed to cut 10,000 workers and billions of dollars from the U.S. Postal Service budget.

Pointing out the obvious: the objective of this effort is to degrade the capacity of USPS, and thereby degrade its performance, and thereby bolster arguments for privatization.

They want to kill public institutions, public goods, public spaces, the very notion of a public.

E.P.A. Targets Dozens of Environmental Rules as It Reframes Its Purpose Lee Zeldin, the E.P.A. administrator, said the agency’s mission was to make it cheaper to buy cars, heat homes and run businesses.

Zeldin says the mission of EPA is to "lower the cost of buying a car, heating a home and running a business." That is false, not as a matter of ideology or political preference, but as a matter of law.

This is pure authoritarian "up is down" stuff.

And people wonder if Russia really has kompramat that gives them control over him. The pee tapes are only the tip of the iceberg. Look at who his trusted advisors have been, and who he pardoned. Connect the dots.

Bird flu is decimating egg laying flocks. Huge populations of poultry are being destroyed. Eggs won’t be cheap again anytime soon. Nor will chicken. And cattle herds are now being culled as well. Time to go plant based.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems …

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
