It did feel like it was just for shock value. The premise was promising, but it's just too much for me😞

I can usually get through dramas I wouldn't normally watch, if they have the right cast (which this does)

And I'm usually fine with violent shows

But I couldn't get very far into this one, it was SO graphic from the start

I was so disappointed, too-- I was excited for this cast.

Honestly, I've become familiar with most of the guys through drama roles before their idol work. Heck, WEST. got me with Blazing Transfer Students-- I was a fan five minutes into the first episode, lol

Right? 😄 A theme song was how I got into STARTO, though! As a Jdrama addict, I saw Kagi no Kakkata Heya and thought "Face Down" was a banger (and Ohno's hot😁)-- and suddenly I was in the Arashi fandom, which was a slippery slope into full-on STARTO panfandom. I regret NOTHING🤣

There are some STARTO dramas where the theme song is definitely higher quality than the show😄

I liked both versions of Kurosagi but tbh the theme songs aren't jumping to mind

For me, STARTO drama themes often hit well, but sometimes...yeah. The most egregious one imo was "KISS KISS KISS" for Second Love. Adore the song, but it was kind of jarring with that drama😄

Otoh I know I'm on a WEST. "FATE" kick, lol, but I think it was absolutely perfect for Habuko no Chronicle💯

I had a Hyundai that only started when it felt like it, which was about 70% of the time. At least that was after cell phone plans came around, since paying per text/minute (or using a pay phone) to let people know I was stranded again would've cost more than the car was worth😄

My first car was a 1988 Chevy Caprice Classic station wagon, which I bought in '97. It would randomly stall & shocked me every time I touched the driver's door, and no mechanic ever figured out either issue
