Just shot an inch over a mature doe 🏹 she jumped the string and I didn't compensate

I managed to stay still so she came back around to figure me out, but I couldn't rotate without spooking. Just stared at her down the sight l, 20 yds with an arm I couldn't draw back. Humbling experience

I love ancient depictions of towns and how they deal with scale and the urban layout.

Was struck by this relief at the Pergamon Museum of a “river town” said to be from Apollonia on the Rhyndakos (c.150-200 AD).
