06:00 in the UK. Can I sleep now?!
11.10.2025 05:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I believe that was the thinking.
08.10.2025 16:41 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It is. Spoke to the manager prior to the renaming. The thinking is the same as behind The Bear in Paddington, but he wasn't aware of any immediate plans to rename any of the others.
08.10.2025 15:53 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Pedant hat on. It was CBC Limehouse, now renamed The Clement Attlee.
Sorry.
Feel free to drop me a DM on either this account or the Beer Guide London account.

05.10.2025 12:37 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0First time using the Lizzy Line to get to Reading. Not cheap, but avoided the bustitution on the normal route.
First stop here is the ever excellent @TheFoxBeerhouse. 6 cask in perfect condition and 13 taps.
Annoyingly closed when I did that part of town 3 weeks ago. ๐คฌ
03.10.2025 13:56 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've done the whole route. But realised whilst doing it that there are a couple of diversionary lines, depending on the big ship situation, that I haven't done...
22.09.2025 15:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0One of THE great bars!
18.09.2025 19:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Waves from a couple of miles down the road!
16.09.2025 09:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I don't know who was first, but I've seen it growing over the years and my trips there. Then a couple of years ago it was added to the list of international beer styles.
Done well it is a thing of absolute beauty.
It's amazing that Italian Grape Ale came from nowhere to become a recognised style.
15.09.2025 19:51 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Final stop of the trip, Cantillon. Treated myself to this.
15.09.2025 13:45 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Eurostar home this evening. Headed back via Oostende. Obviously. It's bracing!
15.09.2025 11:08 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Day two back here at this excellent festival.

13.09.2025 21:31 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Another 20 minute walk to my last stop of the day, Parazzar. 5 on tap plus c100 packaged. Popular bar just to the west of the centre.
12.09.2025 18:31 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I've had the same today with a different venue.
12.09.2025 18:28 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I know!
12.09.2025 17:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You can't not visit 't Brugs Beertje!
12.09.2025 17:15 โ ๐ 16 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0A 20 minute walk back towards town and I'm at stop 3, Gauthierz Brasserie. 5 on tap plus c40 packaged beers. Easy to miss as you walk down the street, because I did!
12.09.2025 16:12 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A ten minute walk to stop 2, De HOPtimist. Fantastic bar with 6 on tap and an extensive packaged list. Worth heading out of the centre for.
12.09.2025 14:16 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0And I've just discovered that my planned stop 2 is closed for Annual Leave. ๐คฌ
12.09.2025 12:36 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Starting my time here by ticking off some gaps in my Beer Guide Bruges list.
A 20 minute walk from the station to stop 1, Taffel en Toog. Modern bar to the south west of the city. 10 on tap and around 100 packaged.
What?! When's the next train out of here?
12.09.2025 11:39 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Right, I wonder if there are any decent bars around here...
