I have heard this many times while waving signs in the streets. My thoughts on this are:
1. I protest after 4:30pm and on weekends. What makes you think I don't have a job?
2. You're out here too, buddy! Why don't you get a job?

Couple of quick signs for today

Haven't had much time to draw lately. Over the last four days, I have gone to three protests, a caucus, and a training on how to be a Constitutional Observer. All while working a full-time job. I had planned to go to a fourth protest but opted for a nap instead.

Also I look like a Genome Soldier at Shadow Moses.

Honk and wave

Should have paid cash.

I thought the whole idea behind Minnesota Nice was that we were only nice on the surface. That under the surface we were insular and cliquish (which I interpret in this comic as a form of self-protection). Now Minnesota Nice means shoveling your neighbors driveway and pushing cars out of snowdrifts.

Fixed a repeated word in it.

Went to a pop-up rally. Pretty good attendance for how quickly it came together.

Made this on my iPad while at the tire shop. Made it on Procreate, and I was feeling too raw to be selective about brushes. That's why it looks weird. Also, this might be the fifth time my mom has done this, but I am also feeling too raw to check the numbers. #iceoutmpls

Wanted to go but had car trouble. Thanks for showing up.

I have to take my car in to have a tire issue looked at. It's hard to do normal stuff when paramilitary thugs are murdering people in the streets.

At a meeting where they are talking about handing out whistles and zyns, and it took me a while to realize they were mispronouncing zines.

He's going to catch pneumonia! Sigh, at least he's wearing a hat. #iceouthopkins

I understand intellectually that my guilt is unreasonable. Not everyone can have the same level of risk tolerance. But my gut feels a different thing.

I wanted to make something about my guilt over not participating in riskier (and more effective) resistance activities. Things like legal observation of ICE raids or protesting the Whipple Building. It was difficult to limit to four panels.
