28.03.2025 19:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love how the GOP says they want to bring back manufacturing lost in the US. They fail to mention that the loss is because of GOP anti-worker policies, deregulation, and the push for companies to pursue profit above all, which they did by moving manufacturing overseas for cheaper exploited labor.

Let the partisan Republican government shutdown commence.
I appreciate Schumerβs concerns as discussed with Chris Hayes, but if the GOP wants to burn it to the ground, they might as well hurry up and accept the political consequences.
How the House has become the last line of defense in legislative politics is fascinating. What has happened to the Senate?!

To be lectured and lied to by Trump and Vance, as they defend the war criminal dictator committing these atrocities, is unimaginable agony. An everlasting shame for America.

USAID has been, since 1961, a diplomatic program whose purpose is not just humanitarian but designed to engender allyship by peoples and countries who might otherwise be exploited by adversaries of the US such as North Korea, Iran, and the historical (and sadly reemergent) Russian regime.

Illinois looks very different in 2025 than it did in 2019.
We've passed six balanced budgets with nine credit upgrades, invested in education, driven economic growth, strengthened our social safety network, reformed the criminal justice system, and rebuilt our infrastructure.
Donald Trump's hunger for power was clearly displayed Friday in a brief exchange with Gov. Janet Mills (D-Maine).
But of course, his "we are the federal law" is a big change from his many, many years of campaigning on "states' rights."
If the intent of the βThird Term Projectβ doesnβt upset you, then YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. The moment this makes it past the House circus to the Senatete floor is the time of death for the last vestiges of American Exceptionalism and the Republic as a whole.

In Canada your government might actually have the integrity to follow the law (including objections to it and its enforcement).
In the US right now recourse through the courts is iffy at best - difficult to use the law when the lawless are running the circus and donβt care.
Your feigned naivety was very convincing. π€·πΌββοΈ
